These Oven Roasted Green Beans are the perfect side dish. They are incredibly tender and with a sweet, crunchy edge. To make them really special, we stuff them with garlic, capers, and herbs. They are so good.

Green beans mashed with garlic

We have a lot green bean recipes Inspired by the taste, but frying might be my favorite way to make them. If you’ve never tried frying them, you should. Whether you keep them plain with oil, salt and pepper, or follow our tips and add flavored with garlic, capers and fresh herbs, these green beans are a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

Green beans are also very quick to cook, so whenever I see them fresh at the store, I always throw them in my basket. For more of my favorite ways to cook green beans, check out our quick recipe refried green beans and my green bean salad with crispy shallots!

Main ingredients:

  • Green beans. I prefer fresh green beans in this recipe. They should look bright green. If you bend them, they should crack. String beans and wax beans work in the recipe below.
  • Garlic. I use three cloves of garlic for this recipe and love it.You can add or reduce the garlic based on your preference.
  • My contacts. They may seem a little unusual, but capers add a salty, salty bite to this recipe that goes so well with the sweetness of roasted green beans. If you’re not a fan, feel free to leave them out.
  • Fresh dill. I love using fresh herbs so I throw them on just about anything when I have them on hand. Dill is incredible with the garlic and capers in this recipe. Other fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro work too.

How to make Roasted Green Beans

In the simplest way, you can chop your fresh green beans, then toss them with oil, salt and pepper, spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet, then roast them in a 425°F oven until they are soft and slightly wrinkled (10 to 15 minutes). They’re delicious this way, so feel free to stop there gives those delicious pimple spots.

If you want to take it a step further, stir in the minced garlic and capers while the beans are roasting. Toss it with the hot roasted green beans. Then I use a similar method with the feta cheese and herbs: while making this roasted zucchiniand i love it.

This green bean works with many main dishesbut a few favorites are mine garlic caper baked salmon or these juicy ones stuffed pork chops!

These perfect roasted green beans are on the table in 20 minutes. Our family loves this simple recipe for its bright, herbaceous flavor. I recommend the garlic, capers, and dill, but they’re still pretty tasty when seasoned with oil, salt, and pepper. :

4 servings

You will need it

1 pound (450 g) fresh green beans, stem ends trimmed

1 tablespoon of avocado oil

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 3 to 4 cloves

2 tablespoons of drained capers, coarsely chopped

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or use 1 teaspoon dried dill

1/2 tablespoon salted butter, if desired

Directions:

1:Heat the oven until 425°F (220°C) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat (lining the pan is optional, but helps with cleaning).

2:Toss the green beans with the oil, salt and black pepper in a large bowl.

3:Add the seasoned beans to the baking sheet and spread in a single layer. Roast until green beans are tender and slightly wrinkled, 10 to 15 minutes.

Advice from Adam and Joan

  • Dill substituteAny fine herb can be used in place of the fennel, try basil, parsley, cilantro or tarragon (use about half of the tarragon as it has a stronger flavor).
