I love how easy these fried potatoes are. This recipe provides great golden brown, fragile potatoes that will be a blow, be it on Tuesday night or Thanksgiving Dinner.
Use any type of potatoes with this recipe, but Yukon Gold is my favorite.
The main components
- Potatoes. I love frying Yukon Gold potatoes because they get super creamy in the middle, but for any potatoes you can use this fried potato recipe. Try ground races, Fingersred or baby potatoes.
- Oil. Because we fry our potatoes at a fairly high temperature, I like to use high heat oil. Avocado oil is my favorite in this recipe.
- Salt and pepper. Potatoes can take a good amount of spices, so be generous with your salt and pepper before frying.
- Smoked Paprika. My secret ingredient for delicious ground potatoes. Smoked Paprika is wonderful with this recipe and adds a smoker, sweet taste. It also adds a little color. Smoked Paprika is rarely spiced unless “hot” or “Hungarian” cans.
- Fresh herbs. These are optional, but I love freshly fragile screaming on fresh potatoes as they go out of the oven.
How to make ground potatoes
Fry the potatoes, start with a hot oven. This guarantees great golden brown fried potatoes – fluffy, tender centers.

This is my favorite recipe for ground potatoes. I use Yukon Gold potatoes, but you can replace the chopped rhapato potatoes, baby potatoes, finger potatoes and red potatoes. These potatoes turn out fragrant, beautiful golden brown and wonderful fragile.
