Ham and cabbage soup with tomatoes and lemon

Cabbage soup cannot sound the most interesting food, but trust me with ham, carrot and onion this option is delicious. Is very similar to our many Cabbage recipesThis soup is nutritious, low calorie and tastes fantastic.

Because cabbage shrinks and softens when cooked, you can add a lot of things to the basket. In this ham and cabbage soup we call eight cups chopped cabbage, and you can probably mix quite a bit more. It’s so good. With the ham to another soup try our Easy splicial peas soupA number

The main components

  • Ham. For this soup I use useless ham steak. If you have a bone ham, use it. Just cut it off the bone, then add the bone to the soup, because it cooks (it should have a little more taste). Before serving.
  • Cabbage. Use regular white cabbage for this soup. I like how it softens when it cooks. If you have left cabbage, consider using it in one of our other Cabbage recipesAuthority
  • Vegetables. In addition to cabbage, we are vague onion, carrots, garlic and rosemary before adding to this soup broth. They create a fragrant base. Fresh or dried rosemary will work. I gave money with the recipe below.
  • Tomatoes. I add a little capacity for the soup, but fresh tomatoes work well. See the recipe to replace fresh tomatoes.
  • Broth. Any light broth or stock works with this cabbage soup recipe. My purchases are chicken stock, chicken broth, bacon stock and vegetable broth.

How to make ham and cabbage soup

Have you ever had a bacon in the soup? It’s delicious. As a soup cookies, the ham is spiced and gives the broth, making it rich, heartfelt and extreme fragrance.

To prepare this soup, you make onions, carrots and ham in a large basket, then you will add the rest of the components. It quickly gathers and only for 20 minutes to cook.

I love this soup with crisp bread or Homemade focusA number of homemade garlic bread It would be very surprising.
