The main components
- Corn. I like to make this recipe with a cuff but, of course, you can cut your stump into small pieces or use corn cores that have been cut into the clump. When buying fresh corn, look for corn ears with tight wraps and avoid any thin or dark.
- Butter. I use salted butter, but I feel free to avoid untreated and add salt to taste. Room temperature or softened butter really makes our Cajun Butter easier, so put your butter on the counter for an hour or in advance.
- Cajun spice. Use the spices of your favorite shop or make our Homemade Cajun Spice: Hot Paprika, Sweet Paprika, Chili powder, thyme, sugar and salt.
- Garlic. I like to scrape some garlic in my aromatic butter that anointed corn. So good.
- Herbs. We add a little chopped cilantro for color and taste, but the parsley will also be excellent.
