Homemade red pasta sauce

Our family eats a lot of pasta (see all our) Pasta recipes as evidence). We pass through a lot of spaghetti sauce and we especially like this homemade version. I love it for my Waggi Spaghettiby jumping Homemade meatballshas served Fresh homemade pastaand more.

This red pasta sauce freezes very well. It’s very easy and tasting, if not better, because your favorite Jared spaghetti sauce (my favorite is Rao, and this homemade sauce is as good as it is as good). Lighter, fresh sauce, see our Homemade marinara sauceA number

The main components

  • Olive oil. Italian sauces often begin with olive rug to another, and this homemade pasta sauce is also. I use 1/4 cup, which makes the sauce delicious and rich. For more wealth, use half olive oil and half butter.

  • Basil. When in the season, I love fresh basil for this simple sauce, but I have included dried basil with the recipe.

How to make pasta sauce

The recipe with this pasta sauce could not be easier. I often make it spaghetti night, lasaga and even as a basis for my favorite Italian meatballs.

You will start making pieces (or onions) in olive oil until it is soft and smells sweet. After that mix a lot of garlic, pepper flakes, Italian spices and tomato paste. You make tomato paste, it will turn into oil and will become a burning orange color instead of red.

Next, I can fill with all the tomatoes and spice well with salt and pepper. As a sauce beather, I use a wooden spoon to break all the tomatoes to make them cook with sauce.

I like to reduce the sauce by about 1/3, which means it still tastes fresh, but it has a richer, deep tomato flavor. Already before the heat gets the heat, I’m mixed with fresh basil and it’s over.

We usually use canned whole peeled tomatoes, but I have included prompts for fresh tomatoes with the advice below. When you use olive oil, this pasta sauce is naturally Vegan. Replace olive oil for a richer sauce with butter.

Makes 6 cups

You will need

1/4 cup (60 ml) Arta-virgin olive oil

1/2 cup (75 g) finely chopped surface or onion

4 to 6 cloves of garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon of Aleppo pepper or crushed red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon Italian spice

2 tablespoons (35 g) Tomato paste

2 (28oz) cans of whole peeled tomatoes

1 teaspoon of fine sea salt, plus more to taste

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 cup (15 g) chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 to 2 tablespoons dried basil

Directions:

    1Heat the olive oil on a large, heavy fastened boiler on medium heat. Add soft and cook until soft, 3 to 4 minutes.

    2Mix garlic, pepper flakes, Italian spices and tomato paste. Cook for another minute so that the taste will develop.

    BookletPour your canned tomatoes with their juices. Use a spoon or a mixture of potatoes to gently break them with a small ground sauce. Don’t worry about perfect consistency but just.

    ThreeLower the heat to make the sauce gently cooked. Mix in salt and pepper (you can add more) if necessary.) Let it be a boiled low to a boil for 20 to 30 minutes or until it falls about a third. Taste and customize the spices when it cooks.

  • Conduce pasta sauce. If your sauce is too thin, put it thicker, placing it on the medium low heat and season 10 to 15 minutes. As a sauce beaver, it will stick it well.
